The theme of our Barkbox in September was Street Fair. Our box had 2 toys, 2 bags of treats, and 1 chew. We took a look on the Barkshop website to see what kind of toys were included in this month’s box, and the toys were all super cute and in sync with the theme. Unfortunately, the majority of the items in our box is not listed on the Barkshop website, so we are unable to give an estimate of the value of our box.
The first toy in our box was the Lickton Iced Tea (value: $12 USD on the Barkshop website). This toy is super cute and would make an adorable prop in a photo-shoot with the pups. The toy (durable ballistic nylon shell) has a spiky tube hidden inside lots of fluff, so if your dog is an expert de-fluffer, there will be a bonus toy at the end!
The second toy in our box was Max’s Maine Lobster Roll. This super soft plush toy also has a tube squeaker inside, with crinkle materials in the claws and tail areas. The boys enjoyed both toys. As long as the toy squeaks, they are happy pups!
The first bag of treats in our box was the Fresh Fair Soft & Chewy Treats in the Lamb Gyro Recipe. The net weight is 4.5 oz.

Ingredients: Lamb, coconut glycerin, pea starch, yellow pea powder, barley flour, tapioca starch, pork gelatin, lactic acid, canola oil (preserved with citric acid), natural smoke flavor, phosphoric acid, potassium sorbate, tomato powder, cucumber, mixed tocopherols (preservative).
This treat was small and shaped like little orange slices, so it is perfect for training sessions since they are easy to break in half. The boys really enjoyed eating these treats – they smell a bit like bacon to us!
The second bag of treats in our box was the Fresh Fair Soft & Chewy Treats in the Chicken & Fish Taco Recipe. The net weight is also 4.5 oz.

Ingredients: Chicken, potato flour, potato starch, vegetable glycerin, whitefish, salmon, gelatin, sunflower lecithin, preserved with citric acid, preserved with potassium sorbate
The treats are long and tubular (like a dental chew you would find in a pet store). They can be a bit hard to break apart but the boys enjoyed eating this treat.
The chew that we received in our box was the Thinkers Salmon Recipe made by Plato Pet Treats. We have received this in a previous box (and the dogs love it) but we were disappointed to find only one in our box – in previous boxes we would receive 2 each.
Ingredients: Salmon, brown rice, salt, clear alginate, fish oil (source of EPA & DHA), vegetable glycerin, flaxseed, calcium propionate, zinc propionate, citric acid, mixed tocopherols (a preservative), vitamin E supplement, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (a source of vitamin C), rosemary extract.
